Description
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Support of Industry Training
CSQ is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees, and career seekers in Queensland’s building and construction industry.
CSQ provides funding to reduce the financial obstacle to training, making upskilling an affordable option for many more individuals in Queensland’s Construction Industry. CSQ funding is provided to a range of selected Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) across Queensland. NECA Training Ltd is one of the selected RTOs.

NECA Training is a Construction Skills Queensland approved training provider, with current contracts for the provision of the courses indicated in the table above. Eligibility criteria apply – organisations must be located in the Greater Brisbane region and active in the Queensland Construction industry. Participant eligibility criteria also apply (Info Below).
Participant Eligibility Criteria
For the purposes of eligibility under the CSQ Agreement, all participants in the Training Program must meet the following criteria:
MUST BE:
- An Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident; or
- A Participant who has the right to work in Australia on a valid VISA and has been employed in the Building and Construction Industry for a period of 6 months or more, and is
- A Participant who is aged 15 years or older, and is
- An Eligible Worker in Queensland, or is
- An unemployed Eligible Worker who has been unemployed for a period not greater than 6 months in Queensland.
MUST NOT BE:
- Undertaking the training as part of an Apprenticeship or Traineeship – (ie; the Units of Competency being completed under this training course are not also within the Apprenticeship or Traineeship)
- An Employee of an Authority
- Currently enrolled and participating in a Queensland Secondary School program
- A contracted trainer or assessor or existing worker of an RTO
- Funded by an Authority or such other source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this Program.
- Funded for more than 8 Short Courses under this Program (either Building or Civil) in the same Program period
- Funded for more than 3 mobile plant operator (MPO) Units of Competency in the same Program period.
- A Participant seeking a Verification of Competency.
