Entry Requirement

Structured Cabling (Cat 5-7)
This endorsement course covers the installation, termination and testing of structured cabling systems using Cat 5, Cat 6 and Cat 7 cable.
Participants learn industry best practice for data cabling used in voice, data and integrated building management systems, and on successful completion can add the structured cabling competency to their ACMA cabling registration.

Description
This is for people that have completed the *UEENEEF102A – Install and maintain cabling for multiple access to telecommunication services* unit of competency during their electrical apprenticeships but need to complete the ACMA assessment to be eligible to apply to be a registered cabler.

Working Near Electricity Network – Initial
This initial accreditation course prepares workers to safely carry out activities in the vicinity of overhead and underground electrical assets.
It covers the safety legislation, hazard identification, exclusion zones and safe work practices required when operating near a live distribution network, and is the entry-level qualification for ongoing accreditation.
