Open Registration
This course delivers the training required to apply for an ACMA Open Cabling Registration, the broadest category of cabling registration. Participants gain the skills to install, maintain and modify customer premises communications cabling in homes, businesses and commercial buildings where cabling terminates at a socket, network termination device or main distribution frame.
The course combines theory with practical skills tasks and includes the unit ICTCBL247, with pre-learning completed before attendance.

Pre-Learning
Units completed using self paced learning prior to attending the course.
ICTTEN208 – Use electrical skills when working with telecommunications networks.
ICTWHS204 – Follow work health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Combined Endorsement *Special*
Designed for cablers who want to fast-track their specialised competencies, this combined course bundles the most common ACMA endorsements into a single five-day program.
It covers the practical skills and assessment needed to add specialised cabling competencies (such as structured, coaxial and optical fibre) to an Open Registration, offering a cost-effective pathway compared to completing each endorsement separately.

Entry Requirement

Structured Cabling (Cat 5-7)
This endorsement course covers the installation, termination and testing of structured cabling systems using Cat 5, Cat 6 and Cat 7 cable.
Participants learn industry best practice for data cabling used in voice, data and integrated building management systems, and on successful completion can add the structured cabling competency to their ACMA cabling registration.

Coaxial Cabling
A one-day endorsement course covering the installation, termination and testing of coaxial cabling.
Participants gain hands-on experience with connector types, tools and testing methods used for pay TV, MATV/SMATV, CCTV and broadband distribution systems, enabling them to add the coaxial competency to their ACMA cabling registration.

This two-day course provides the practical skills to terminate, splice and test optical fibre cabling.

This is for people that have completed the *UEENEEF102A – Install and maintain cabling for multiple access to telecommunication services* unit of competency during their electrical apprenticeships but need to complete the ACMA assessment to be eligible to apply to be a registered cabler.
