Why Choose NECA?

Specialists

Electrical is all we do. Why train at just any college when you can train with the electrical industry specialists?

You're welcome

You don’t need to be a NECA member to attend but we do require you to meet a minimum level of language, literacy and numeracy.

Transparency

You will be given all costs upfront and informed after initial consultation if you have sufficient evidence to be eligible to complete the skills gap training.

Perfect blend

We’re a not-for-profit industry association. This means we have the best blend of public and private training college benefits.

In touch

NECA is the peak industry body. This means your training is up to date and in step with the latest industry practices.

Certainty

Private colleges are not obligated to keep their doors open. Your certificate may not be accessible 2 years from now. Don’t risk it. Train with someone you can trust.

The Process

What do I need?

Did you start an Australian Apprenticeship, complete at least three years, but didn’t finish?

Evidence of prior studies and suitable work experience evidence will need to be presented.

You will also be required to meet a minimum language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) standard.

Unfortunately at this stage we are not assessing overseas qualifications. This may be something NECA considers in the future.

How to Register

Step1) Let us know you’re interested by using the ‘Register Your Interest’ button below.

Step 2) We will correspond with you by email to request information from you.

Step 3) If you’re deemed suitable an initial consultation will be scheduled to review your suitability.

Step 4) A ‘mapping’ process is conducted to determine equivalency and to identify any gaps in training.

Step 5) Gap training is conducted via self-paced learning, optional face to face revision sessions, and assessment sessions.

When?

Consultations and gap training assessments occur weekdays (Mon-Fri) evenings (5pm-9pm).

Where?

We offer the training at two locations:

1) Sydney – 122 Hume Highway, Chullora NSW 2190

2) Canberra – 49 Tennant Street Fyshwick ACT 2609

If you’re interested in attending college in other states please see the links to our NECA partners on the Contact page of this website
