Can I apply as a mature age apprentice?

NECA Electrical Apprenticeships is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants over 21 years of age to apply for employment as adult apprentices, however due to the vast variance between the wage rates for adult apprentices and junior apprentices, NECA will only offer employment to suitable adult apprentices if a host employer is willing to employ and pay the higher wage rates. If you are successful with the pre-selection testing, you may be invited to attend an interview. Often mature age candidates successful in the recruitment process are placed on a reserve listing. A Reserve Listing status means that while NECA finds you a suitable candidate, we will need to locate a suitable host trainer willing to pay the higher rate for placement. Once this is confirmed, your application will progress to the two final stages of recruitment, an interview and a pre-employment medical.

Do you have to be a permanent resident?

Yes. You must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
